A portion of the revenue from Taste of beach 2009 will be donated to the international school Ak Lu um, a different educational institution for young people with physical capabilities and development. This school located in Playa del Carmen that educates, guides and supports its students in an environment study, safety and friendliness, benefits to 36% of its students on full scholarship. Thanks to funds collected by Beach 2009 flavor, both students and teachers and volunteers can access clean and safe drinking water. Taste of beach is a culinary event aimed at society in general and celebrates creativity and diversity of cultural influences from chefs all along the Riviera Maya. So it also promotes the unique culinary prospects that have contributed to that Playa del Carmen is considered as a cosmopolitan, besides being widely recognized as one of the best destinations for vacationing around the world. The city has earned this distinction by celebrate and maintain the integrity of Mexican cultural heritage, not only but also for accommodating and integrating different cultural influences brought by visitors of all parts of the world.
